Do I have to pay an entry fee to visit Wadi Rum?
There is an entry cost of 5 JOD for all visitors who wishes to enter the Wadi Rum Protected Area. If you have a Jordan Pass this is included in the cost.
You will be asked to show your Jordan pass or purchase your entry ticket once you reach the Wadi Rum Visitor Center.
What can I expect at your camp?
- The Bedouin Nights Camp is a traditional Bedouin camp, inside the Wadi Rum Protected Area. It’s located in a privileged spot, protected from noise and immersed in beauty and peace. It’s a simple and genuine bedouin camp consisting in only 10 tents, with different sizes, with external bathroom facilities and a common dinner tent.
The camp is also near to the black mountain, where you can admire an amazing sunset every day, and we also have secret caves protected from the wind, where you can see the stars.
What can I do during the day?
- Most of our guests desire to explore the desert, choosing the best available tours that we offer and that better fit their interests. If you prefer, you can also rest at our camp, take a walk or go for a hike nearby. You have water or tea available all day at the common tent, where you can relax or stay with other guests

What can I do during the night?
- Usually our dinner starts at 19:30h. We will show your our local food traditions, and we will invite you to eat together at our common tent.
- After this we’ll invite you to join us in our cave to light a fire, drink some tea, smoke some shisha if you like it, share some stories, diddles or play games. Sometimes you can also expect to hear some arabic songs and to assist to traditional Bedouin dances.
What weather and temperatures shall I expect?
When to visit
- The best months to come to Wadi Rum are during Spring and Autumn, March to May and August to November, when temperatures are nicer and on average around 30°C.
What to bring
- Days can be really hot and nights can also be cold so try to check for the weather first so you can be prepared for both cases.
- During the winter months is can certainly get cold in the desert nights. Our tents are not heated but you will find plenty of blankets to stay warm and comfortable during the night.
- Bring sunscreen, sun glasses, a hat and long sleeves shirt.
- Bring a scarf to protect you from the wind. During our tours guests travel at the top of our vehicles so you should be prepared for this.
- Light breathable clothes for the day and warm clothes for some cold nights.
- Flip flops are comfortable for baths and for your night in a tent.
- Close shoes to walk in the desert, specially when the sand becomes hot.
How can I pay for my tours and stay? Can I find an ATM in Wadi Rum?
Please be aware that there is no ATM at Wadi Rum, but we’re happy to accept Jordan dinars, euros or dollars.
What about the food? Can I find vegetarian or vegan options at the camp?
All our meals are available at our camp kitchen.
Is there drinking water available at the camp?
- Breakfast – standard Arabic buffet
- Lunch – A lunchbox is available for 5JOD pp, or you can choose to eat at camp for 7JOD pp. During our full day tours, a traditional bedouin lunch is cooked for your in the desert.
- Dinner – traditional meal, usually cooked in a Zarb (underground oven). If not included in your fare, the price is 10 JOD/person.
- Our local cuisine offers a lot of vegetables and chickpeas, but in any case please inform us about your preferences so we can adjust our meals to ensure that we suit your needs.
- Yes, if you are vegan or if you have specific dietary restrictions (for instance gluten free) we kindly ask you to inform us in advance so we can arrange everything accordingly. Please also be patient with us: in the desert it is often difficult to find lactose free or gluten free options.
Is there drinking water available at the camp?
- Yes, we provide water, tea and coffee free of charge during the whole day, at our common tent. We can also arrange soft drinks at an additional cost, if you prefer.
